Charles Babbage’s Difference Engine No. 2 has come to life 150 years later

I first learned about Charles Babbage and his mechanical computers when I was in college.  Later in life, I became reacquainted with them, and the possibilities of "what might have been" when I read the wonderfully complex historical fiction novel "The Difference Engine" by William Gibson (which I highly recommend, btw!)

All the while, I could really only imagine what Engine No. 2 might have looked like spinning through it’s calculations – well imagine no more: Video: Victorian-era marvel makes North American debut – CNET
